CHAPTER 2

God's Time-Table Revealed

There is a saying that if you want to hide a thing where it will be difficult to find, hide it in plain sight. Not everything that God has put in place is immediately obvious to us. There are principles of physics and chemistry and other sciences that have taken thousands of years to uncover. It is exciting to know that there is still much to find. Proverbs 25:2 (Amplified Bible) It is the glory of God to conceal a thing, but the glory of kings is to search out a thing.

In the first chapter, we saw that Satan is sometimes (but not always) associated with the planet Venus. For the next several pages, we are going to look at Venus in particular in order to “search out” the secrets that were invisible to humanity for most of recorded history. Venus, as we now know, is a planet. In ancient times, every celestial object except for the Sun and the Moon was considered to be a star. The fell into three categories, being:

· fixed stars;

· wandering stars (planets); and

· shooting stars or falling stars which are meteors or meteorites.

There has been a lot of superstition associated with stars, comets and planets over the centuries. The truth has been mixed in with the lies, resulting in the system known as astrology. Going way back to the time of Nimrod and the Tower of Babel, people have attempted to misuse the message that God has placed in the Heavens. One thing that is for certain is that the alignments of stars and planets is not intended to map out our daily lives.

There is a godly intention for these celestial lights and that intention was spelled out in the very first chapter of the Bible. We are given the purpose of the heavens in Gen. 1:14 “And God said Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.”

The Hebrew word for sign is 'oth' (אוֹת) which has been translated in the Bible as banners, omens, pledge, sign, signs, standards, witness, and wondrous.

The Hebrew word for seasons is 'moed' (מוֹעֵד) which has a wide range of meanings but which has the main sense indicating appointed time, place, or meeting. This word figures prominently in the final chapter of this book.

The Hebrew word for days is 'yom' (יוֹם) which means age, always, continually, daily, birth, each, today. For those trying to interpret the 'days' in Genesis, consideration should be given to the idea that each day represents an age.

The Hebrew word for years is 'shanah' (שָׁנִים) which of course means year(s), but which can mean a whole age.

Clearly, the cycles in the stars are intended to identify events at appointed times times and ages. We are told in Psalm 19:1-4 (Amplified Bible) “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows and proclaims His handiwork. Day after day pours forth speech, and night after night shows forth knowledge. There is no speech nor spoken word [from the stars]; their voice is not heard. Yet their voice [in evidence] goes out through all the earth, their sayings to the end of the world.”

Even so, there are Christians who would reject the messages and the secrets that God has placed in the heavens. This is due mainly to a fear that they might become (inadvertently) entangled in the false message of ungodly astrology. They should keep in mind that the Three Wise Men who were astrologers used the signs in the stars to guide them to Jesus' home in Nazareth (not Bethlehem as mistakenly depicted in religious art).

Our challenge is to discover the hidden knowledge that has been placed right there above us in plain sight and to make the message known. Romans 1:20-21 (Amplified Bible) “For ever since the creation of the world His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made intelligible and clearly discernible in and through the things that have been made (His handiworks). So [men] are without excuse [altogether without any defence or justification], Because when they knew and recognised Him as God, they did not honour and glorify Him as God or give Him thanks. But instead they became futile and [a]godless in their thinking [with vain imaginings, foolish reasoning, and stupid speculations] and their senseless minds were darkened.”

God's creation and the number FIVE

The most brilliant mind in the Universe belongs to God Himself, for he has designed every law and every principle. The associated mathematics of the cosmos can be so complex that only a fraction of one percent of the population can begin to fathom it. Yet, there are times when the mathematics is beautiful in it's simplicity. Of the infinity of numbers that He could have chosen, He settled on the number 5 to be central to His creation.

Just take a look in the mirror. Most people have 5 appendages to their torso; two arms, two legs and a head. At the extremities of the arms and legs are five fingers and toes. The head is the control centre for the five senses. The various proportions within our bodies are defined by a function of five known as the Divine Proportion or the Divine Ratio. The scientific term for it is the Greek letter PHI. Science has also renamed the ratio as the Golden Ratio or the Golden Section.

 

The way that best defines the relationship between the number 5 and the number PHI is best demonstrated by examining a pentagon. If you join the opposite sides of a pentagon, you get a pentagram. Inside the pentagram is another pentagon, inside which you can draw another pentagram. This sequence can be continued down until it's too small to see. All the way through, there are ratios between adjoining sections that remain constant. This constant is called PHI which is 1.618 to 3 decimal places. a divided by b is 1.618..., as is b by c etc.

Just like the other famous constant known as Pi, PHI is an irrational number, which simply means that the decimal value is never-ending. To calculate PHI on your calculator, the formula is (v5 + 1) ÷ 2. It will amaze you to see how vital this number is.

There are some interesting features to this number. If you invert it (i.e. divide 1 by 1.618...), the result is 0.618... which is exactly 1 less than PHI. The smaller number is known as phi with a lower case 'p'. If you multiply PHI by itself, you get 2.618 to three decimal places, which is 1 more than PHI.

The Place of the Number Five in the Universe:

New findings in 2003 based on the study of data from NASA's Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) on cosmic background radiation reveal that the universe is finite and shaped like a dodecahedron, a geometric shape based on pentagons, which are based on Phi.

In October 2001, NASA began collecting data with the (WMAP) Probe. Like visible light from distant stars and galaxies, cosmic background radiation allows scientists to peer into the past to the time when the universe was in its infancy. Density fluctuations in this radiation can also tell scientists much about the physical nature of space. NASA released the first WMAP cosmic background radiation data in February of 2003. In October 2003, a team including French cosmologists and Jeffrey Weeks, a freelance mathematician and recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship or "genius award," used this data to develop a model for the dodecahedral shape of the universe.” While contemplating the 12 sides of the Universal dodecahedron, and the five edges on each side, there were a few things that sprang to mind. The number twelve in the Bible represents perfect government. This is highlighted by the fact that there were 12 tribes in Israel and Jesus chose 12 disciples. The message for us in this shape is that God is in control. The number five is the number of grace. We can be encouraged that in whatever direction we may look, God's grace is available to us. The other application of those two numbers together relates to Solomon's Temple. There were 12 doors to the outer court. These were known as 'The Way'. On the inside, there were another 5 doors. 4 of those doors were the access into the inner court, these doors being known as 'The Truth'. The final door into the Holy of Holies was known as 'The Life'. John 14:6 tells us, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” This shape declares the very purpose of God's creation. It is to make Himself known to us through His Son Jesus.

The Divine Ratio and the Fibonacci Sequence

In the twelfth century, there was an Italian mathematician by the name of Leonardo of Pisa who was otherwise known as Leonardo Fibonacci. His claim to fame is that he wrote a book about a sequence of numbers that have some very special features. If you start out with the numbers 0 and 1, it is possible to generate this sequence. By adding 0 and 1 together, you get 1. So far, you have

0, 1, 1. When you add the last two numbers together, you then get 2, then 3, then 5, then 8 etc. The sequence then looks like this: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144....and so on. In this book, we will find that many of these will occur time and time again.

Not only are the numbers important in themselves, the ratio of adjoining numbers progressively approaches the value of PHI the further you get into the series. For example, 3/2 = 1.5, 5/3 = 1.67, 8/5 = 1.6, 13/8 = 1.625, 21/13 = 1.615. By the time we get to the 40th number in the sequence, the ratio of the adjoining numbers complies to PHI to fifteen decimal places. The numbers in the series are known as Fibonacci Numbers.

Powers of PHI

Let's look at the series relating to the number 2, that series being 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128...etc. If you choose any number in the sequence, it relates to any subsequent numbers as a power of two. For example, if we wanted to express the relationship between 4 and 64, we can say that 64 is 4 times 2 to the power of 4 (64 = 4 x 24). The power of 4 comes from the fact that 64 is the fourth number in the sequence from 4.

In the Fibonacci sequence, each number is approximately PHI times the previous number. Therefore each number in the sequence is one power of PHI greater than the previous one. Let's look at an example using the numbers 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144. If we wanted to express the relationship between 8 and 144, we'd first count how many numbers there are in between. In this case, 144 is the sixth number after the number 8. This means that 144 is equal to 8 times PHI to the power of 6 (144 = 8 x PHI6). The figure using the exact value of PHI results in a figure of 143.554... which rounded to the closest integer is 144. Using the Fibonacci Sequence, the calculation is: 8 x 13/8 x 21/13 x 34/21 x 55/34 x 89/55 x 144/89 = 144. NOTE: Keep this calculation in mind because it will be used later.

How PHI is seen in nature

Probably most of us have never taken the time to examine very carefully the number or arrangement of petals on a flower. If we were to do so, several things would become apparent. First, we would find that the number of petals on a flower is often one of the Fibonacci numbers. The common daisy often exhibits twenty-one petals, and thirty-four petals are also quite common. The outer ring of ray florets in the daisy family illustrate the Fibonacci sequence extremely well. Daisies with 13, 21, 34, 55 or even 89 petals are quite common. (If you're plucking out petals in a game of 'she loves me, she loves me not', you should avoid the flower with 34 petals. The rest will finish with her loving you.)

Fibonacci sequences appear in biological settings, in two consecutive Fibonacci numbers, such as branching in trees, arrangement of leaves on a stem, the fruitlets of a pineapple, the flowering of artichoke, an uncurling fern and the arrangement of a pine cone. The superstar of this series is the sunflower. The human body is also filled with examples of this amazing ratio. The distance from the elbow to th

e wrist is 1.618 times the distance from the fingertips to the wrist.

Each section of your index finger, from the tip to the base of the wrist, is larger than the preceding one by about the Fibonacci ratio of 1.618, also fitting the Fibonacci numbers 2, 3, 5 and 8. Virtually every part of our bodies is capable of demonstrating this phenomenon. The very program of life itself; the DNA molecule, contains the divine ratio. One revolution of the double helix measures 34 angstroms while the width is 21 angstroms. The ratio 34/21 reflects phi 34 divided by 21 equals 1.619… a close approximation of phis 1.618. The Divine Ratio in the Bible: Gen. 6:15 gives us the dimensions of Noah's Ark, “And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.” The width and height of the Ark are in the ratio of 5 to 3. “The ark was exactly six times longer than it was wide, and it set the standard for all other ocean going vessels. The dimensions of the ark made it so stable in rough seas that the same length-to-width ratio is still being used by modern shipbuilders today. In fact, during World War II, the USS Oregon and the USS New Mexico were built specifically on this model, using the same length-to-width ratio as the ark. “In terms of the hydrodynamic forces,” says Dr. Henry Morris, professor emeritus of hydraulics engineering , “this ark would have been very stable. In fact, the balance between the buoyant force, the gravitational force, and the wave force would be such that the ark would right itself if it were tilted anywhere from zero to ninety degrees. It would be practically impossible to capsize. ” - http://www.jblcc.com Exodus 25:10 spells out the design of the Ark of the Covenant, “And they shall make an ark of shittim (acacia) wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.” The ratios here are 5 x 3 x 3. The Fibonacci Numbers appear to be all-pervasive. The entire Bible except for a few chapters in Aramaic are written in Hebrew and Greek. One of the common features of the two languages is that the characters in each alphabet also represent numbers, meaning that nearly the entire Bible contains mathematical code. Some of this code is understood, with certain underlying patterns becoming appreciated. It wasn't until about 200 BC that mathematical values were apportioned to the Hebrew characters in the Old Testament. This system was probably adopted due to the Greek influence subsequent to their defeat of Israel. Therefore, the entire Old Testament was already in existence before the mathematical values were added. The Greek influence can be seen in the names of the letters. In Greek, the first 3 letters are alpha, beta and gamma. In Hebrew, they are aleph, beth and gimel, while other Hebrew characters also have names that correspond closely to the Greek. Bible Numerics

Through most of this book, there will be reference to certain recurring numbers. Long ago, it was discovered that there are patterns in the Bible, with numbers having consistent symbolic meaning. With the aim of giving some added credence to what is about to follow, the above is produced here to make it easier for the reader to follow the logic involved in some of the statements that might otherwise appear to be unsubstantiated. The chart goes only up to the number 20. There are a lot of other numbers that have meanings attributed to them, but most of the numbers relevant to this book are in the range we see above. For further information, check out http://www.asis.com/users/stag/numbtabl.html PHI and Five and how they relate to Venus When astronomers calculate the relative motions of the Earth and Venus, they find it useful to have a reference point. The usual method is to reckon from events known as Inferior Conjunctions which is a term that refers to the point in time when the Earth, Venus and the Sun form a perfectly straight line as seen in the graphic below.

During this period, Venus cannot be seen from Earth. It disappears for a short period that averages 8 days. When it first rises after Inferior Conjunction, it can be first spotted in the morning sky. This is called called heliacal rising because it is rising with the sun.

The Greek name for the Sun is Helios, which is why it is called a heliacal rising. In astronomy, this is the most important position of Venus. After rising, it will remain visible for about 260 days in the morning sky until it reaches Superior Conjunction. At this point Venus is on the opposite side of the Sun as we view it from Earth. It becomes dim, until it dips back under the horizon, only to appear on the opposite side of the sun an average of 50 days later. It then rises as a evening star and remains in the night sky about 260 days before arriving at Inferior Conjunction again. The whole process to bring the Earth, Moon and Sun back into a straight line takes 584 days. That equates to 1.6 years. As you can see from the graphic, in getting to Position 2, the Earth has made one full orbit plus 216 degrees. At Position 2 for Venus, the planet has made two full orbits plus 216 degrees. By mapping the position of each conjunction, a pattern begins to develop. After 5 conjunctions, the 2 planets arrive very close to the starting point as demonstrated in the graphic below. Starting at p.1 (Position 1), draw a line to p.2 and then progress through to p.5 and then back to the starting point. The result is a near perfect pentagram as the orbit of Venus is the closest of all of the planets to a perfect circle. The time to complete the pattern takes 5 times 584 days which totals 2,920 days, which is equal to 8 x 365 days. Venus returns to the same point in the sky every 8 Earth years (minus two leap days). Each time that a new conjunction occurs, the Earth has passed by 8 points of the 5-sided star. The 1.6 orbits is therfore the ratio of 8/5 in relation to the pentagram. As we saw earlier, that ratio is an example of two adjoining Fibonacci Numbers. As already explained, this ratio approximates PHI. Coincidentally during Venus' 2.6 orbits, Venus has passed by 13 points of the 5-sided star. The ratio between Venus' orbits and Earth's orbits is 13/8 which again are adjoining Fibonacci Numbers. Here we have another example of PHI. Further Venus Facts During the eight Earth years that it takes to complete the cycle, Venus has completed 13 orbits. One Venus day is longer than its year which is 224.7 Earth days. The Venus day is almost exactly two-thirds of an Earth-year (243 Earth days). Because Venus revolves once every 2/3 of an Earth year, Venus revolves exactly twelve times in the eight-year pentagonal period; thus showing the same side to Earth in the eight-year period. It appears that the rotational attribute of Venus is for some reason tuned into planet Earth. If viewed from above the Sun's north pole, all the planets are orbiting in a counter-clockwise direction; but while most planets also rotate counter-clockwise, Venus rotates clockwise in "retrograde" rotation. Because of this retrograde rotation, Venus has kept the same aspect towards the Earth. So, if you can imagine that the circle of Venus' shape as a face, it is always looking in our direction during the period that the Earth and Venus are close to each other.

For the purpose of this exercise,

I've taken an image of the surface features of the planet Venus which has two huge volcanic craters in positions that might be taken for eyes. From there, an over-active imagination has added a nose and smiling mouth. This has been done to highlight God's attitude to His creation. Genesis 1:31a “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” It's now going to be very difficult for you to think about Venus without thinking about this face, but that's a good thing. Obviously, someone with some actual artistic talent could produce a result that's more deferential than this humourous caricature. Most pictures that you see of Venus are of a pure white planet. That's because of the thick atmosphere that is 96.5% carbon-dioxide. Talk about your global warming! The surface temperature is 4800 C. That's much higher than the melting point of lead.

This part of the Milky Way galaxy has been custom-designed and God has placed things so that they make sense from our perspective. From Earth, the brightest thing in the night sky apart from the Moon is the planet Venus. When Venus' orbit is closest to us, it can appear more than 20 times brighter than the brightest fixed star, which is Sirius. It was a great honour for Lucifer to be given this brightest of planets as his symbol, as well as the dominion and over-sight of God's special creation. But.... it all went to his head. Ezek. 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness:” To this point in time, Lucifer has not been stripped of the prestige that comes with his association with Venus. As you will see as this book progresses, that circumstance is soon to be rectified.

Jupiter, Saturn and the Solar System

Venus is not alone in our solar system as far as having a relationship to the pentagram. Jupiter which is known as the Planet of Kings and the Planet of the Messiah also has a bond to its large neighbour Saturn.

For every complete orbit of Jupiter, Saturn will travel about 144 degree along its orbit. So after 60 years, Jupiter will have made 5 complete orbits while Saturn will have marked out five points, each 144 degrees apart. In fact, every planet in our solar system has a mathematical relationship to it's neighbours. When the deviation from the ratio of Phi is averaged over the whole range of planets, even including Ceres (the dwarf planet in the asteroid belt), the result is a figure that conforms to PHI to within one thousandth of one percent.

The measurements are taken on the orbital periods of the planets. It should be noted that these

periods are a function of mass. If any of the planets were either larger or smaller than their current mass, their orbital period would have to increase or decrease to maintain their orbit. It seems almost as if Someone has determined the mass and position of each object. This is an emphatic indicator of Design. Further cycles of Venus About every 120 years on average, there are events known as transits of Venus. The transits usually occur in pairs that are 8 years apart. In fact, the period between the pairs is 8 years less 2 days. Amazingly, that period is exactly the same period that it takes for the 5 conjunctions that form the pentagram. This can be no coincidence. Whereas a conjunction involves the Earth, Venus and the Sun lining up, a transit occurs when a planet (either Mercury or Venus) passes between Earth and the disk of the Sun. These events are nowhere near as exciting as a solar eclipse which has the capacity to totally obscure the Sun from our view. Because Venus is about 38 million kilometres away from us at the time of a transit, it appears as a small black dot that takes about 6 hours to cross the face of the Sun.

The chart above demonstrates the cycles over the past 500 years.

When you're driving and the sun is in your eyes, the natural response is to lower the sun shield. Looking directly at the Sun is something to be avoided. There's no way that a small dot traversing it would be detectable to the naked eye. For this reason, the transits of Venus have only been observable since the invention of the telescope and methods of viewing the Sun safely have been developed. The first European scientific observation of a transit of Venus was made by Jeremiah Horrocks from his home at Carr House in Much Hoole, near Preston in England, on 4 December 1639. Horrocks focused the image of the Sun through a simple telescope onto a piece of card, where the image could be safely observed. Prior to that, the Persian genius Avicenna claimed to have observed the 24 May 1032 Venus transit of the Sun. Transits of Venus are among the rarest of predictable astronomical phenomena and currently occur in a pattern that repeats every 243 years, with pairs of transits eight years apart that are currently separated by long gaps of 121.5 years and 105.5 years. The length of the long gaps can vary, but the sum of the gap periods always add up to 227 years. Adding on the two pairs of transits that are eight years apart, the cycles of 243 year have been substantially maintained since at least 5,000 BC and projected forward until 10,000 AD. There have been only 2 exceptions which occurred at the time of the Flood and at the birth of Christ. These aberrations are highly significant due to their timing. They will be fully explained in the following pages. The 243 year cycles initially appear to be a very strange manner for these transits to manifest. After all, hasn't God based His creation on the number FIVE and it's function PHI? Well, here's the thing! 243 equals 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3, that is THREE to the power of FIVE. It doesn't stop there. 3 and 5 are adjoining numbers in the Fibonacci Sequence. You will remember that 5/3 approximates PHI. If you inverse that fraction, you get an approximation of the small value of phi. The number 3 can therefore be expressed as FIVE times phi. 243 thus becomes equivalent to FIVE to the power of FIVE multiplied by phi (a function of 5) to the power of FIVE (55 x phi5). Although not mathematically perfect, the aim in presenting us with this number and this approximation is all in the symbolism. All through history, these cycles have been declaring and giving voice to God's wonderful grace and His goodness towards us, the number 5 as previously stated being the number of God's grace and goodness. Coincidentally, 243 is also the number of Earth days in a Venus year.
